Edward Montgomery
Founder & CEO
Edward Montgomery is the Founder and CEO of Abalone Software,
where he builds reliable, high-performance systems designed to scale with
growing organizations.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and has spent much of his career working with early-stage startups. Edward was the first software developer hired at both Extensity and Workday, contributing to the development of core systems during critical growth phases.
His expertise spans high-reliability server systems, scalable software and hardware architectures, and engineering leadership. He has led teams of up to 40 engineers and delivered custom software solutions across both commercial and highly specialized domains.
